Decision
Our joint journey begins when you’ve made the decision to speak with me. The reality is that it takes courage and self awareness to seek new conversations about the existing problems and be willing to enter into practices to grow your people and the organization.
We will begin with an initial Strategy Call, 60 min – at no cost.
The Goal of our Strategy Call is to unearth the root of your current challenge so that you can focus your energy and see a different reality for your organization.
The work of Organization Development consulting is not prescriptive. We will follow the 5D process to determine how to best understand and co-create resolutions for the problems you’re experiencing.
Discovery
Expanding our search to uncover and appreciate what we don’t know is the aim of this phase. We’ll use a broader lens to boost awareness and to enrich our understanding of the existing challenges.
Discovery often includes a mix of the following: surveys; listening sessions; interviews with key team members; meeting observations; focus groups; and document review (strategic plans; organizational charts; job descriptions; etc.)
Pause to Review & Align
Throughout our work together, consistently pausing to review and align allows us to pay attention to data sets that emerge to focus and refocus our work.
As we work with you and yours, we will share relevant data with participants, findings with key team members, and invite additional input based on data sets thus far to deepen understanding.
Once we’ve found a starting point, we will pause to discuss our partnership options, in a phased approach.
Design
Co-creating a path forward is our focus in this phase.
Considering our phased approach, we will engage with even the first smallest step; a small pilot; a simulation; etc. This work in itself will provide emerging needs and clarifications.
We will establish a regular meeting cadence, roles, initial phase timeframes, and align on next steps.
Pause to Review & Align
Throughout the engagement and each phase, we will continuously work together to experiment with small shifts, pilots, and course corrections to address emerging needs
Delivery
Because of our experimentation/pilot approach, this phase often flows seamlessly from work already in motion.
This phase is completely influenced by the previous Discovery & Design phase.
Debrief
While we will have been conducting shorter pulse checks throughout the work, this phase ensures a final check on the overall project to determine what else may be helpful to ensure sustainability.
• We will review the entire work completed to consider what’s been learned throughout and how your organization can continuously apply those learnings.
• We’ll also look for any existing gaps and opportunities.
Project Close
My goal is to provide you everything you need to carry the work forward.
You will receive:
• Data sets as applicable, while survey data privacy will always be upheld (meaning, I’ll strip off any personal identifying information/demographics)
• Templates, playbooks, and documentation created.
